Association for the Support and Promotion of the Faculty of Theology in Trier
A strong partner: Freunde und Förderer der Theologischen Fakultät Trier e. V.
Since its founding in 2000, the association „Freunde und Förderer der Theologischen Fakultät Trier e. V.” has been an indispensable partner to the faculty. With almost 100 members, it not only supports the faculty financially, but also acts as a source of inspiration and helps shape its further development. Through this commitment, the association helps ensure that the Faculty of Theology in Trier remains a place where academic excellence, student support, and a vibrant community go hand in hand.
Strengthening research and teaching
The association strengthens research and teaching by facilitating research projects, supporting publications and excursions, and regularly awarding prizes such as the “Hieronymus Prize” and the “Young Talent Award” for outstanding scientific achievements. It also enhances the university's external visibility.
Focus on students
Supporting students is a key concern of the association. This includes:
- Workshops and career fairs that provide insights into church and non-church career fields, as well as
- the establishment and expansion of an alumni network that brings students into contact with graduates
- Career services such as appointment coaching, internship placement, and career orientation counseling
- Material assistance, for example for software or event equipment
Promoting community
Student life is also close to the association's heart. It therefore provides selective support for activities/events (e.g., the Theoball) that strengthen solidarity within the faculty.
