The term “good scientific practice” refers to a voluntary commitment to honest conduct in scientific research. It involves correct procedures, fairness, and respectful interaction with one another. Specific examples include the protection of intellectual property, correct citation, and complete documentation of research data.

To ensure good scientific practice at the Faculty of Theology in Trier, the Rules of Trier University in their currently valid version apply mutatis mutandis. The Faculty of Theology in Trier requires its scientific and scientific support staff to comply with these rules.
